Sound Diseases (Laryngology)

Voice diseases (Laryngology) is a subspecialty that deals with larynx diseases of otolaryngology. The larynx is located just below the throat and in front of the pharynx. There are vocal cords inside the larynx. The larynx is responsible for sound formation and swallowing. Laryngology deals with inflammation of the larynx, vocal cord nodules, larynx cancers, hoarseness, and speech disorders.
